Random Facts

by caitlin on February 7, 2012

So I’m finally getting around to doing this. I was tagged twice – and one says 11 things, one says 12. I pick 11 cause this was hard.

So here is the deal:

  1. Post these rules.
  2. You must post 11 (or 12) random things about yourself.
  3. Answer the questions set for you in their post.
  4. Create 11 new questions for the people you tag to answer.
  5. Go to their blog and tell them you’ve tagged them.

Random Things about Me:

1. My grandfather is a Catholic Priest.

2. When I was 8, my finger got stuck in the bathroom door of my grade school and had to be reattached (eww). It works fine but looks a little funny.

3. One of my goals is to live in Ireland.

4. I don’t like clams and so I’ve written a lot of seafood (mostly shellfish) off without ever actually trying it. I’ve never had scallops or oysters.

5. I grew up in the house that my dad grew up in. My bedroom was the room he and my uncle shared.

6. I took piano lessons for at least 4 years without ever learning to read music. Sorry mom.

7. I also took dance for almost 7 years. Yikes.

8. I was a child actress and have the headshots to prove it. I got bored quickly and decided I didn’t want to act anymore, so my claim to fame: Microsoft promotional videos.

9. Hawaii is my happy place and I will be there in a few short weeks!

10. My sister and I used to write screenplays and soap operas and film them, commercials and all. If anyone ever finds those tapes I will burn them.

11. I’m the middle child and we make a lot of jokes in my family about this. As soon as I moved out my room turned into the home gym. Just saying (Mom).

Questions from Julia:

February 3, 2012

So I mentioned I’m running this little half that’s about 6 weeks away. I’ve gotten a lot of questions about my training plan and coaches, so I wanted to share why I think they are so awesome. In the past, I would use Smart Coach to design a training plan and follow it about half [...]

Embarrassingly Easy Hummus

January 19, 2012

Hummus doesn’t last very long around here. And even though I’ve heard a million times how cheap and easy it is to make, in my head it is still much easier for me to pick it up at Trader Joes. But, as part of my new goal to challenge myself in the kitchen, I decided [...]

In 2012 I will…

January 10, 2012

Run twice a week with this guy in addition to my other runs/workouts. I like running with him and will make it a priority. Plus he makes me faster. Matching shirts are required obviously. Cook a real meal once a week (no Caitlin, salads do not count as cooking). Yeah, I’ve kind of gotten into [...]

An Epic Run and A New Challenge

December 13, 2011

Two weekends ago I went on my first ever trail run. Before that day, I thought a trail run was just a run on a trail – similar to the Bridle trails in Central Park. I could not have been more wrong. These trails were intense– 9 miles of hills, rocks, logs, swamps and more. [...]
